Reports to the International Sales Director, The Regional Business Manager will oversee and drive business development, sales, and operational performance across the assigned region. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue growth, market penetration, and customer satisfaction. The Regional Business Manager will work closely with the International Sales Director and cross-functional teams and manage a group of local distributors in alignment with organizational objectives.

Description

Business Development & Strategy

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and identify new business opportunities to grow the country’s and regional market shares.
  • Develop and execute business strategies for each assigned country in alignment with the company’s goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, end-users and stakeholders.
  • Train distributors and end-users on the company’s products.
  • Analyze market trends, competitors’ activities, and customer needs to adjust business strategies.

Sales Leadership & Distributors Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a group of local distributors,
  • Set clear targets, performance metrics, and KPIs for each distributor.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training as needed.
  • Ensure distributors deliver on sales targets, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Distributors’ Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors and end-users to ensure long-term business success.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors within the region.
  • Organize regular on-site business meetings with distributors and end-users.
  • Address client concerns, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer service teams to enhance customer experience.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee the regional budget and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Track and analyze regional sales performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Discuss, define and agree annual purchase forecast (volume and value) with each distributor

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency in brand messaging and business operations.
  • Partner with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure that all regional activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate any potential business risks or challenges within the region.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry changes, legal requirements, and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure and report a post-market surveillance in relation with the company’s RAQA team / report any customer’s complaint

  • Externe : Distributors, end-users and stakeholders (non-exhaustive list)

Education level & Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing

Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, distributors management. Knowledge of the Orthopaedic/Trauma/Sports Medicine market is a must.

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving business targets.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed (estimated at 75%).
